Early Life and EducationArshak Karapetyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia, and attended Dzerzhinsky Secondary School from 1966 to 1976. He then pursued a degree in Agricultural Mechanization at the Yerevan Agricultural Institute, graduating in 1981.
Professional Career
From 1981 to 1984, Karapetyan worked as an engineer and technical department head at the Masis Mechanical Plant of "Glavアームводстрой." He continued to hold managerial positions in the field, serving as head of the production department at the Balovit Repair Plant from 1984 to 1987. In 1988, he became an engineer at the "Armглавводстрой" experimental plant.
Political Career
Karapetyan's political career began in 1989 when he served as a supervisor for the Lenin District in Yerevan. From 1991 to 1995, he worked in the apparatus of the State Tax Service of Armenia. In 1995, he was appointed Minister of National Assembly Liaison, a position he held until 1996.
