Audrey Lindvall: A Model, a Sister, and a Dream Cut Short
Audrey Lindvall, the American model and sister of top model and actress Angela Lindvall, was the face of brands such as 'Coach' and 'Ann Taylor.'
From Lee's Summit to New York
Audrey Catherine Lindvall was born on August 11, 1982, in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The daughter of Randall, a pharmacist, and Laura Rasdall, a physical therapist, Audrey graduated from Lee's Summit High School in June 2001. Of her four sisters and one brother, Michelle and Angela had a particular interest in modeling, participating in local fashion shows in Kansas City. Angela's career soared when she was spotted by Kim Hoffman of 'Hoffman International.' After signing with 'IMG,' her success skyrocketed, gracing the cover of 'Vogue.' It was during one of Angela's visits to Audrey in New York that she encouraged her to sign with 'IMG' through Ivan Bart.
A Passion for Nature and a Dream of the Future
Audrey harbored a deep love for ecology and aspired to design eco-friendly homes. As a child, she enjoyed playing in creeks and biking. Health-conscious, she continued to cycle in New York and longed for the familiar trails of her hometown. Lindvall hoped to attend college and pursue a career outside the modeling world. In July 2006, she visited her family in Lee's Summit before moving to Los Angeles, California, to be closer to Angela.
A Tragic Accident
On August 2, 2006, Lindvall went for a bike ride with a friend when she was fatally struck by a truck. She had swerved to avoid a concrete curb near a 'QuikTrip' convenience store and was thrown into the path of an oncoming tanker truck. Audrey was married to Genco Fuentes. The British band 'The Kooks' wrote a song entitled 'Ooh La' in her memory.
