Early Life and CareerThe younger brother of the renowned Ioannis Kapodistrias, he entered Greek service in 1828, holding various positions. However, his abilities proved to be unremarkable.
Presidency and Abdication
Following the assassination of his brother in 1831, he became President of the provisional government. On December 20, 1831, he was elected as the provisional Governor of Greece. However, he faced numerous uprisings and ultimately resigned on April 13, 1832.
Post-Presidency
After his resignation, he returned to the island of Corfu, where he spent the remainder of his life. His legacy as the temporary leader of Greece remains contested, with some historians questioning his effectiveness in the face of political turmoil.
