Ayila Atanda Yussuf: Nigerian Footballer and Dynamo Kyiv Player

Ayila Atanda Yussuf is a Nigerian footballer who has played as a defender and midfielder. He is best known for his time at Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine.

Early Career

Yussuf began his football journey playing for his school team before joining the Flaming team. He then went on to play for clubs such as Julius Berger, Enyimba, and Union Bank in Nigeria.

Move to Dynamo Kyiv

In the summer of 2003, Yussuf made a significant move to Dynamo Kyiv, despite interest from PSV Eindhoven and Stuttgart. He made his debut in the Ukrainian Championship on September 21, 2003, in a home match against Zvezda Kirovohrad, where he received a yellow card. Yussuf also represented Dynamo Kyiv's reserve team and played for Dynamo-2 in the First League in 2013.

International Career

Yussuf has represented Nigeria at both the youth and senior levels. He played for the Nigerian U21 national team before making his debut for the senior team in 2005. As part of the national team, he achieved success by winning bronze medals in the African Cup of Nations in 2006 and 2010. Yussuf also represented Nigeria in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Yussuf is married to a woman named Aisha, and they have two daughters together. His brother, Akim, is involved in business in London.
