Early Life and Career

Badri Kvaratskhelia was born in Georgia and began his football career with local teams in the early 1990s. His impressive scoring record caught the attention of Dinamo Tbilisi, and he was invited to join the top club in Georgia for the 1992/93 season.

Success in Azerbaijan

In search of greener pastures, Kvaratskhelia moved to Azerbaijan for the 1997/98 season and signed a one-year contract with Kapaz Ganja. The move proved fruitful as Kapaz won the league title, cup (with Kvaratskhelia scoring in the final), and he emerged as the league's top scorer.

Transition to Shamkir

Following Kapaz's presidential change, Kvaratskhelia transferred to Shamkir. Over five years with the club, he won three league titles and reached the cup final twice, ultimately losing both times to Neftchi Baku.

International Career and Citizenship

In 2000, Kvaratskhelia acquired Azerbaijani citizenship and made three appearances for the national team. One was a friendly against Georgia (0-0), while the other two were competitive matches in the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Macedonia.

Coaching Career

After retiring from playing in 2004, Kvaratskhelia returned to Georgia and embarked on a coaching career. He obtained his "A" coaching license and served as an assistant coach at FC Sioni from 2004 to 2007.

Head Coach Positions

In 2008, Kvaratskhelia joined FC Standard Baku as an assistant coach under Kakhi Tskhadadze. From February to June 2009, he held the position of head coach at the club. As of 2011, he was the head coach of FC Sparta Tskhinvali.

Personal Life

Badri Kvaratskhelia is married and has two sons.
