Early Life and Education

Vaguf Alekperov was born on June 23, 1971, in the village of Vagudi, Armenia. He graduated with honors from the history department of Baku State University.

Political Career

Deputy of the Milli Mejlis (2005-Present)

In 2005, Alekperov was elected as a deputy of the Azerbaijan National Assembly (Milli Mejlis) from the Ali-Bayramli electoral district.

Chairman, Council of State Support to NGOs (2008-Present)

Alekperov is currently the chairman of the Council of State Support to NGOs under the President of Azerbaijan.

Vice-President, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (2019-Present)

Alekperov holds the position of Vice-President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
