Bam Bam Bigelow, whose real name was Scott Charles Bigelow, was a professional American wrestler. Born on September 1, 1961, he became one of the most renowned wrestlers in the industry. Bigelow began his professional wrestling career in 1987, joining Jerry Lawler's team in the CWA federation. In the mid-1987, he started wrestling in the WWF federation after signing a promising long-term contract. By that time, Bigelow had already gained recognition in the sport, with many managers vying to represent him. Ultimately, Oliver Humperdinck became his manager.
Rise to Fame
Bam Bam Bigelow gradually became a popular figure in the world of wrestling. He developed his own unique style and gameplay, winning over audiences with his impressive size. Bigelow was considered one of the largest wrestlers in America. His first matches in the WWF association were against Nikolai Volkoff, as part of Hulk Hogan's team. Over time, Bigelow became one of the top wrestlers, securing notable victories against wrestlers like King Kong Bundy and One Man Gang. One of his most spectacular defeats was a match against Andre the Giant.
International Success and Return to WWF
For a period of time, Bam Bam Bigelow competed in tournaments in Japan and made few appearances in the United States. In 1992, he decided to return to the WWF federation. His initial games were victorious, defeating opponents such as Big Boss Man and "The King of the Ring." However, he faced notable conflicts with wrestlers like Doink the Clown and Tatanka. In 1994, Tatanka defeated Bigelow, ending his hopes of winning the tournament.
ECW and Final Years
In late 1995, Bam Bam Bigelow left the WWF federation and began wrestling in the ECW federation in 1996. In November 1998, he made his debut in the WCW federation, with his first matches against the renowned wrestler Goldberg. Sadly, Bam Bam Bigelow was found dead in his apartment on January 19, 2007. Many details surrounding his death were kept hidden from the public. The official cause of death was attributed to the abuse of medications, which led to cardiovascular issues. However, police records revealed that Bam Bam Bigelow was found hanged in his apartment. The bodies of his wife and child were also discovered in the apartment.
