At the tender age of seven, Bart Goor began his football journey with the youth academy of "Bevel." Five years later, he joined the second-division club "Verbroedering" in 1991/92, making his debut for the senior team. Over the next five seasons, Goor established himself as a key player, scoring 27 goals in 147 appearances.

Rise to Prominence

In 1996, Goor's exceptional performances earned him a transfer to top-flight club "Genk." The 1996/97 season proved to be a breakout year for him, as he emerged as the team's leading scorer and formed a prolific partnership with Branko Strupar.

Success at Anderlecht

Goor's talent caught the attention of "Anderlecht," who acquired his services in August 1997. His debut was marked by a goal in a memorable 4-3 victory over "Austria Salzburg." Despite not replicating his goalscoring exploits from Genk, Goor became a fan favorite, contributing consistently to the team's success.

International Recognition

Goor's impressive club form earned him a call-up to the Belgian national team in 1999. He made his debut and scored his first two international goals in the same year. Goor was a key figure in the team's run to the last 16 of the 2002 World Cup, where they were narrowly defeated by eventual champions Brazil.

European Adventure

In 2002, Goor signed a contract with German Bundesliga club "Hertha Berlin." He played two solid seasons, providing assists and scoring goals before an injury derailed his progress. Despite recovering, he struggled to regain his previous form and left the club in 2004.

Return to Anderlecht

Goor moved to "Feyenoord" in the Netherlands in 2004 but a dispute with the club's board forced him to return to Anderlecht in the following year. He enjoyed a successful second stint with the Brussels club, winning two league titles and a Belgian Super Cup. In 2006, he was appointed team captain, a role he held for several seasons.

Later Career and Retirement

Goor left Anderlecht in 2008 and joined "Germinal Beerschot." He spent two seasons there before moving to "Westerlo" in 2011. After a relegation to the lower division, Goor became the team's leading goalscorer. He retired from football in 2013, ending a distinguished career spanning over two decades.
