Early Life and Family

Bart Johnson was born on December 13, 1970, in Hollywood, California. He spent much of his childhood on television sets with his mother, Charlene Johnson, a hairstylist for shows including "Mork & Mindy" and "Charlie's Angels." At the age of 14, his family relocated to Park City, Utah.

Acting Career

Johnson is best known for his portrayal of Coach Jack Bolton in the "High School Musical" film series. In these movies, he played the basketball coach of East High and the father of the lead character, Troy Bolton (played by Zac Efron).

Other Work

Beyond acting, Johnson is also a screenwriter and director. In 2007, he released his directorial debut, "The Run," which he also wrote and filmed in Paraguay.

Personal Life

Johnson married actress Robin Lively on September 25, 1999. They have three children: Baylen, Kate, and Wyatt Blake.
