Early Life and Lineage
Beatrice was born in 1193 to Otto I, Count Palatine of Burgundy, and Margaret of Blois, daughter of Theobald V, Count of Blois. Through her father, she was a granddaughter of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, while on her mother's side, she was a great-granddaughter of King Louis VII of France.
Ascension to Power
In 1200, Beatrice's father was assassinated, and her older sister, Joan I, succeeded him under Margaret's regency. However, Joan died in 1205, making Beatrice the Countess Palatine of Burgundy, again under Margaret's regency.
Marriage and Reign
In 1208, Beatrice married Otto I, Duke of Merania. They became joint rulers in 1211. Beatrice died in 1231 at the age of 40. Her eldest son, Otto, inherited the County Palatine of Burgundy.

Beatrice married Otto I, Duke of Merania, on June 21, 1208. They had the following children:
Otto II (c. 1208-1248), Count Palatine of Burgundy (Otto III) from 1231 and Duke of Merania (Otto II) from 1234
Alice (Adelaide) (c. 1209-1279), Countess Palatine of Burgundy from 1248; married first to Hugh I de Chalon (died 1266) and then to Philip I, Count of Savoy (died 1285)
Agnes (died 1260/1263); married first to Frederick II the Quarrelsome (died 1246) and then to Ulrich III, Duke of Carinthia (died 1269)
Beatrice (died after 1265); married Herman II, Count of Orlamünde (died 1247)
Margaret (died 1271); married first to Přemysl, Margrave of Moravia (died 1239) and then to Frederick, Count of Truhendingen (died 1274)
Elizabeth (died 1272); married Frederick III von Hohenzollern (died 1297)
