Beatrice was the Queen of West Francia, daughter of Herbert I, Count of Vermandois, and granddaughter of Pepin I.

Marriage and Reign

In 895, Beatrice married Robert I, Count of Paris and Marquis of Neustria. Robert I became the King of West Francia in 922, making Beatrice the Queen Consort.

Family and Children

Beatrice and Robert I had three children:

Emma of France (c. 894-934), married to Raoul I of Burgundy, King of France.

Hugh the Great (c. 897-956), Duke of France.

Legacy

Beatrice's marriage to Robert I strengthened the alliance between the Franks and the Normans. Her sons, Hugh the Great and Raoul I, played significant roles in French history, with Hugh becoming a powerful duke and Raoul ascending to the French throne.
