Early Life and Education
Bertrand Dufourcq was born in France and graduated from the prestigious École Nationale d'Administration (ENA), a renowned school that trains French civil servants. He also studied at the École Libre des Sciences Politiques (Sciences Po Paris) and earned a law degree from the University of Paris.
Diplomatic Career
Ambassador to Russia (1991-1992)Dufourcq served as the last French Ambassador to the Soviet Union and the first to the Russian Federation from 1991 to 1992, a pivotal period in international relations.
