Early Life and Education
Tursunbay Hudaidadov was born into a peasant family in Tajikistan. From 1930 to 1933, he attended a pedagogical technical school. He then graduated from the Khorog Party School (1934) and the Higher School of Child Communist Movement under the Central Committee of the Young Communist League (1937).
Party and Komsomol Work
In 1934, Hudaidadov joined the staff of the newspaper "Red Badakhshan." From 1935 onwards, he held various Komsomol positions:
- 1938-1940: Head of Department, "Vasiiati Lenin" newspaper ("Lenin's Testament")
- 1940-1941: Student, Militia School in Stalinabad
NKVD and Leadership PositionsIn 1941, Hudaidadov became a сотрудник (officer) of the NKVD (People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs) of the Tajik SSR.
- 1948-1950: Chairman, Executive Committee of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast
- 1950-1956: Chairman, Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Tajik SSR
- 1950-1958: Deputy Chairman, Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR
Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
From 1956 to 1961, Hudaidadov served as Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Tajikistan and concurrently as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Downfall and Expulsion
In 1961, Hudaidadov and Tursun Uljabayev, the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Tajikistan, were accused of deceiving the party and state and organizing mass falsifications in cotton procurement. As a result, Hudaidadov was removed from his post and expelled from the Communist Party. He was also stripped of his parliamentary seat on August 7, 1961.
Awards and Recognition
During his time in office, Hudaidadov was awarded three Orders of Lenin.
