Blake Clark is an American comedy artist who is best known for his voice work in the film industry. He was born on February 2, 1946, in Macon, Georgia, U.S., where he grew up. Clark attended LaGrange College and graduated in 1969 with a degree in performing arts.

Voice Acting Career

Clark's most well-known role to date is the character Slinky Dog in the computer-animated film "Toy Story 3". In the previous two installments of the film, Slinky Dog was voiced by Jim Varney, a close friend of Clark's who passed away in 2000. Clark has also appeared in other films, often alongside Adam Sandler. Some of these films include "The Waterboy", "Little Nicky", "Mr. Deeds", "Eight Crazy Nights", "50 First Dates", "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", "Bedtime Stories", and "Grown Ups".

Personal Life

Clark had a close friendship with Jim Varney, best known for his role as Ernest in a series of films. Varney passed away in 2000 from lung cancer, caused by heavy smoking.

Clark is a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as a captain in the 101st Airborne Division.

In 2011, Clark reprised his role as Slinky Dog in the short film "Hawaiian Vacation" and also voiced Buford in the animated film "Rango".
