Childhood and Early Life

A Musical Calling

Bogdan Kiyashko was born on March 22, 1992, in Kirov, Russia. From a young age, he possessed an inexplicable passion for music and eagerly experimented with any musical instrument that caught his eye. Despite his parents' initial aspirations for him to pursue sports, Bogdan remained uninterested and persistent in following his heart's desire.

One fateful day, a music teacher visited Bogdan's kindergarten and recognized his exceptional talent. She advised his grandmother to enroll him in a music school, but her efforts were met with rejection. Undeterred, Bogdan's grandmother sought alternative paths and eventually found a place for him in the choir "Orlyata."

Career Beginnings

A Musical Journey

As Bogdan grew older, his voice matured, and he began to explore his own musical expression. He composed his debut song at the age of 12 and aspired to attend the prestigious Gnesin Academy of Music. After overcoming various obstacles, he successfully enrolled in the academy's academic vocal program.

Staged Success

Bogdan's next educational venture was the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), where he honed his skills under the mentorship of acclaimed director Sergei Solovyov. During his time there, he also participated in several theatrical productions.

Music and Beyond

Pursuing Dreams

After graduating from Gnesin Academy, Bogdan briefly enrolled in the Popov Academy of Choral Art but quickly left to pursue a different musical path. He began performing at cafes, accompanying other vocalists, and honing his own singing abilities.

A Serendipitous Encounter

One evening at a party, Bogdan caught the attention of renowned music producer Stas Namin. They collaborated for several years, with Bogdan performing at Namin's Theater of Music and Drama and contributing to various projects.

Broadened Horizon

In addition to his musical endeavors, Bogdan also pursued his interest in art and developed skills in painting. Throughout his career, he has displayed versatility, mastering guitar and piano, dancing, and actively participating in sports such as skiing and snowboarding.

"The Voice"

A Captivating Performance

On October 9, 2020, Bogdan auditioned for the ninth season of the popular singing competition "The Voice." His rendition of Nancy Sinatra's "Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" impressed the judges, with three of the four -- Polina Gagarina, Sergei Shnurov, and Basta -- turning their chairs. Bogdan ultimately chose Shnurov as his mentor.
