Nursultan Iskakov is a renowned Kazakhstani statesman who has held prestigious positions in the country's military and law enforcement sectors. Born on February 9, 1947, in Usttobe, he began his career as a teacher before joining the law enforcement ranks in 1974.

Early Career in Law Enforcement

After graduating from the Karaganda Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR, Iskakov worked in various capacities within the criminal investigation department in Karaganda. He rose through the ranks quickly, eventually becoming Deputy Chief for Operational Work.

Leadership in Karaganda

From 1983 to 1991, Iskakov served as Chief of the Department of Internal Affairs for the Shakhtinsk City Council and later for the Karaganda City Council. He played a pivotal role in maintaining public order and security in these regions.

National Roles in Law Enforcement

In the early 1990s, Iskakov assumed prominent national positions. He held the post of Head of the Public Order Protection Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and later became Deputy Minister and First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
