Bronson Pinchot is an American actor who was born on May 20, 1959, in New York. His mother, of Italian descent, worked as a secretary, while his father was a Russian Jewish immigrant. He has a sister and two brothers, one of whom, Justin Pinchot, is also an actor and is often mistaken for Bronson or his twin brother.

After finishing school, he initially attended the University of Nevada and later transferred to Yale University, where he studied ancient Greek sculpture from the 5th century BCE.
