Born on July 10, 1967, Branit is an American film director who specializes in computer-generated imagery (CGI) and visual effects (VFX). With four Emmy nominations to his credit for his work on Star Trek, he established the Kansas City-based company Branit VFX in 2004. This firm provides VFX services for television, feature films, and commercials.
Educational Background and Early Career
Branit pursued a degree in industrial design at the University of Kansas. He spent time in Los Angeles before returning to Kansas City in 2004.
Notable Projects
405 (2000): A three-minute short film featuring Jeremy Hunt, 405 depicts the successful emergency landing of a McDonnell Douglas DC-10 on a Los Angeles highway.
