Biography of Bruce Kulick

Bruce Kulick is an American guitarist who is currently playing in Grand Funk Railroad. He was the lead guitarist of Kiss for a long time and also played in the band Meat Loaf during their world tour "Bat Out Of Hell" in 1977-78. Kulick also spent some time playing in Good Rats.

Time in Kiss

Bruce Kulick is widely known as the lead guitarist of Kiss from December 1984 to August 1996. Unlike other members of the band, he never appeared on stage in makeup. He joined the band shortly after the start of the "Unmasked Era" and left when Peter Criss and Ace Frehley returned. Kulick played in the band for almost 12 years, longer than any other musician outside of the "Legendary KISS quartet."

During his time in Kiss, Kulick participated in the recording of five studio albums: Asylum, Crazy Nights, Hot in the Shade, Revenge, and Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions. He also appeared in Kiss Unplugged.

Solo Career and Union

After the reunion of Kiss, Kulick formed the band "UNION," which included vocalist John Corabi (former vocalist of Mötley Crüe, filling in for Vince Neil), drummer Brent Fitz, and bassist James Hunting. The band released three albums: "Union," "Live in the Galaxy," and "The Blue Room." In January 2005, Kulick released the first DVD of the band titled "Do Your Own Thing Live," which featured two full concerts and some bonus content.

UNION toured Japan in January and Germany in November 2005, with Eric Singer replacing Fitz as the drummer, who had left KISS for the second time.
