Biography of Bryan Dattilo
Bryan Ronald Dattilo was born on July 29, 1971, in Kankakee, Illinois, U.S. He later moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, after his parents' divorce. At the age of 7, Dattilo found himself in Los Angeles and at 9, he began taking acting lessons from his sister, actress Kristin Dattilo.
Early Career
Dattilo's early acting career started with multiple appearances in the comedy sketch series "Not Necessarily The News" on HBO. He graduated from Beverly Hills High School in California in 1989 and attended Santa Monica College. It was during his college years that he landed the role of Lucas Roberts in the soap opera "Days of our Lives."
Rise to Fame
Dattilo is best known for his portrayal of Lucas Roberts on the NBC soap opera "Days of our Lives." He initially joined the show in 1993 and played the character until March 27, 2001. He later returned to the role from January 31, 2002, to February 18, 2010. Dattilo continues to appear in the long-running series to this day.
Other Acting Ventures
In addition to his work on soap operas, Dattilo has also appeared in several independent films. He gained recognition for his performance in the award-winning comedy short film "Gaydar" in 2002, where he played the character of Jack. He has also guest-starred in various television series such as "Saved by the Bell," "CSI: NY," "California Dreams," "Doogie Howser, M.D.," "In the Heat of the Night," and "Charles In Charge."
Personal Life and Philanthropy
Dattilo currently resides in North Hollywood and is a single father to his son Gabriel. From 1999 to 2001, he was married to Jessica Denay. Apart from his acting career, Dattilo is actively involved in charitable organizations that focus on autism awareness and support.
