The adorable youngster from Louth, Lincolnshire, purchased 68 roses for the girls in his school, unfazed by any potential jealousy from his own girlfriend.
A Tradition of Kindness
Callum explained that his heartwarming mission was motivated by his desire to ensure that every fourth-grader at his Lacey Gardens School felt included and received a Valentine on this special day. His choice of "fadeless silk roses" was deliberate and has become an annual tradition that has brought smiles to the faces of his classmates for the past four years.
A Special Gift for His Valentine
However, the biggest gesture was reserved for Callum's own girlfriend, who he says is fully supportive of his efforts to make everyone around him happy. The young couple is celebrating their first Valentine's Day together. "I wanted to get flowers for the girls in Year 4 because I would feel bad if they felt left out," Callum explained. "I have a girlfriend. But I didn't have to explain anything to her because she already knows what I do every Valentine's Day."
The Power of Generosity
In the past, the young Brit earned money by assisting his grandmother in her florist shop. Sadly, his grandmother passed away last year. Undeterred, Callum turned to washing cars to raise funds for his Valentine's Day mission. "I go into all the classes and hand them out," he added. "I have done it for the past four years. The girls all run up to me and scream."
A Proud Mother
Callum's mother, Stacey, expressed immense pride in her son's kindness and thoughtfulness. She shared that he initially started by giving roses only to his own class but decided to extend his generosity because he believed no girl should be left out. "But he also saved up to buy something for his girlfriend," Stacey added. "He cleaned about 10 cars and has a couple more booked in. He was out there from 9:30am until 4:30pm and I literally had to drag him in when it started getting dark."
A Boy with a Heart of Gold
"I am so proud of him. He just gets so much enjoyment out of it. Last year, when he handed them out, the girls were screaming and ran and jumped all over him." Callum's selfless actions serve as a heartwarming reminder of the power of kindness and the importance of making others feel special.
