Biography of Kasper Van Dien

Kasper Robert Van Dien, an actor, was born on December 18, 1968 in Milton, FL. He grew up in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and was the seventh boy in his family to be named Kasper, a tradition that had been passed down through generations. Kasper spent his childhood on Van Dien Avenue, a street named after one of his ancestors.

Following in the footsteps of his family, Kasper attended the Admiral Farragut Academy in Florida to study towards a career in the navy. However, he eventually left his hometown and headed to Los Angeles in search of an acting career. With his striking looks, he found success as a male model and appeared in various commercials before making his way into the entertainment industry.

Kasper started his acting career with small roles in television series such as "Beverly Hills 90210," "Married... with Children," "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," "Silk Stalkings," and "One Life to Live." In 1992, he began dating actress Carrie Mitchum, with whom he starred in the film "James Dean: Race with Destiny." They got married in 1993 and welcomed their son, Kasper Robert, in September of the same year. The couple affectionately called him Bo. In 1996, they had a daughter named Grace. Unfortunately, Kasper and Carrie divorced in 1997.

Kasper gained worldwide recognition for his role in the movie "Starship Troopers," which was released in 1997. In 1998, he portrayed Tarzan in the TV movie "Tarzan and the Lost City." He continued to appear in films such as "Modern Vampires," "On the Border," and "Shark Attack." On May 8, 1999, Kasper married actress Catherine Oxenberg, who is seven years older than him and the daughter of a Yugoslavian princess. They starred together in the film "The Omega Code." In September 2001, they welcomed their daughter, Maya, making it Kasper's third child and Catherine's second.

Kasper currently resides in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, with his family. He maintains a close relationship with his first wife and ensures that his children from his previous marriage are included in all family events. Kasper is known for his warm and friendly demeanor towards his fans and is always willing to take photos and sign autographs. In addition to his acting career, he has a passion for writing poetry, learning foreign languages, diving, and sports in general. He attends church with his family every Sunday (or twice a week) and adores his children above all else.
