Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Cassandra Lynn Scerbo was born on March 30, 1990, on Long Island, New York. Raised in a close-knit Italian family with strong traditions, she maintains a close bond with her parents despite living and working on the opposite coast.

Scerbo's first foray into the entertainment industry was as a member of the girl group Slumber Party Girls (SPG). After auditioning with nearly a thousand other girls, Scerbo and four others were selected. Their debut album, "Dance Revolution," was released on October 3, 2006, but failed to chart. SPG appeared on CBS' "KOL Secret Slumber Party" every weekend from September 16, 2006, but the show was short-lived. Their debut album's music was featured on the television show "Dance Revolution" during the 2006-07 season, but the group ultimately dissolved shortly after their album release.

In 2007, Scerbo signed a record deal with Geffen Records and began recording material for her debut solo album, which was expected to drop in 2010. However, due to her busy filming schedule, the album has yet to materialize. Three digital singles from the album, "Betcha Don't Know," "Sugar and Spice," and "Top Of The World," were released on iTunes in 2008.

Acting Career

Scerbo's on-screen debut came in a small role in the 2005 comedy "Hitters Anonymous." In 2007, she was cast as Brooke, a cheerleader, in "Bring It On: In It To Win It," the fourth installment of the "Bring It On" film franchise. The film was released straight to DVD on December 12, 2007, and received mixed reviews. That same year, Scerbo appeared in another DVD release, "Natural Born Komics," and played a lead role in the pilot of the unsold television series "Arwin!"

A former competitive soccer player from the ages of 6 to 13, Scerbo played Tiffany in the 2008 teen sports film "Soccer Mom," which was also released straight to DVD. In 2009, she landed the role of Lauren Tanner in the ABC Family series "Make It or Break It," which premiered on June 22, 2009. The pilot episode drew 2.1 million viewers, a strong performance for ABC Family. Thirty episodes have since aired, and the show has been renewed for a third season in 2011.

Scerbo guest-starred in episodes of "CSI: Miami," "10 Things I Hate About You," and the animated series "Sym-Bionic Titan" in 2010. She has four feature films in various stages of production.

Personal Life

Scerbo is an avid thrill-seeker. She enjoys auto racing, first bungee jumped at the age of 10, and has trained in both soccer and taekwondo. Her favorite film series is the "Rocky" franchise, starring Sylvester Stallone.
