Katie Moriarty was born on November 29, 1960, in the Bronx, New York, into a Catholic Irish family. Her mother, Catherine, was a homemaker, and her father, John Moriarty, worked in a warehouse. After successful auditions, Katie was cast in the role of Vicky LaMotta in Scorsese's film "Raging Bull."
