Franco-Martiniquan Footballer
Julien Faubert, a Franco-Martiniquan footballer, played as a midfielder for various clubs and the French national youth team before representing the Martinique national team.
Club Career
Faubert spent six years with Guingamp, where he achieved promotion to Ligue 2 in 1994 and Ligue 1 in 1995. He later moved to Lens, where he remained for five seasons before signing with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2004.
During his time at PSG, Faubert scored a remarkable "scorpion kick" goal against Porto in the Champions League, becoming his highlight moment in an otherwise disappointing season.
Following his brief stint in Paris, Faubert played for Ankaragücü in Turkey for a year. He then ended his professional career and joined Union Skiffie-Trégonneau in the 13th division. Since 2008, he has been playing for amateur club Esnafspor in Turkey.
International Career
Faubert represented Martinique in the 1993 CONCACAF Gold Cup, 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup, and 2007 Digicel Caribbean Cup.
