Early Life and Political Initiation

Charles Michel was born on December 21, 1975, in Namur, Belgium, to Martin and Louis Michel, who held the position of mayor of Jodoigne. At a tender age, Charles began his political involvement by distributing campaign posters for his father. By the age of 16, he had joined the organization "Liberal Young Reformers of Jodoigne."

Academic Background and Career in Law

Michel pursued his higher education in law, completing his studies at the Free University of Brussels and the University of Amsterdam. He became a lawyer after graduating in 1998.

Rise in Politics

Michel's political journey commenced in 1994 when he was elected as a councilor in the Province of Walloon Brabant. Throughout the 1990s, he held various leadership positions within the Liberal Young Reformers organization.
