Surprisingly, Charlie's initial goal was to raise only £500. Despite feeling tired and having sore legs, Charlie enjoyed cycling in the park. In total, the young cyclist covered about 8 kilometers.

Charlie's father, Dan Simpson, admitted that they had never imagined their little son on his small bicycle would ignite such a massive wheel of charity. In the end, Charlie managed to raise over £200,000, which went towards helping the earthquake victims in Haiti. Charlie Simpson's story reached beyond England as he appeared on several television shows and was featured in the international press. With childlike sincerity, he emphasized that everyone should have food and shelter.

Through his determination, Charlie transformed a mere 8 kilometers of a British park into more than £200,000. Although it is unlikely that he fully comprehended the value of money at the age of 7, Charlie firmly believed that every person on Earth should have access to food, water, and a home.
