Early Life and Career

Chidi Odeya was born and raised in the city of Port Harcourt, which is approximately 500 kilometers away from the Nigerian capital, Lagos. He grew up in a large family, consisting of his parents, grandparents, three brothers, and two sisters. Despite not having much wealth, Odeya developed a love for football even before he was born. His mother would often tell him that he would kick in her womb. His favorite toy as a child was a football, and he started playing the sport as soon as he learned to walk.

During his youth, Odeya would play street football with his friends and participated in local tournaments. One day, he was spotted by scouts from a local team who invited him to join their youth academy. He enjoyed living in Moscow and often frequented various entertainment venues. After several months, he was called up to the Nigerian national team and made his debut in May 2004. Odeya's strong performances helped CSKA Moscow finish in second place in the 2004 season and excel in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup.
