Biography of Chris Klein
Chris Klein is an American actor known for his roles in both films and television series. Born Christopher Frederick Klein on March 14, 1979, in Hinsdale, Illinois, he grew up in a family of a preschool teacher and an engineer. Klein has an older sister and a younger brother.

Early Acting Career
Klein's first acting experience came as a child when he performed on stage at a community theater in Chicago. At the age of thirteen, Klein and his family moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where he continued to act in school productions. In 1998, Alexander Payne came to Omaha in search of actors for his new film and invited Klein to audition. After his first audition, Klein was cast as Paul Metzler in Payne's comedy-drama "Election" (1999). He worked alongside Matthew Broderick in the film.

Breakthrough and Success
"Election" was released in May 1999 and gained significant popularity. It received high ratings, positive reviews from critics, and was nominated for an Academy Award, as well as winning 16 awards at film festivals and receiving 18 nominations. Klein's distinctive face and his genuine performance were noticed, and soon after, "American Pie" (1999) was released, further solidifying his fame and doubling his recognition.
Continued Career
Following his success, Chris Klein received numerous job offers. He also enrolled at Texas Christian University to professionally study the art of acting. Klein managed to balance his studies with his acting commitments, appearing in two to three films per year. In 2001, he starred in "Here on Earth," "Say It Isn't So," and the sequel to "American Pie." The following year, he appeared in "Rollerball" and "We Were Soldiers," in addition to having a guest role in the TV series "Electric Playground." In 2005, Klein starred in the successful comedy film "Just Friends," which achieved high box office results, won awards at film festivals, and received positive reviews from critics. Recently, he appeared in the film "Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li."
Personal Life
As of today, Chris Klein is single. In 2004, he was briefly engaged to Katie Holmes, but the wedding never took place. In early 2009, after a two-year relationship, he ended his romance with Jennifer Goodwin.
