Biography of Clara Alonso
Clara Alonso, the Spanish model, was born on September 27, 1987, in Madrid. She started her modeling career in Spain, regularly parading on Spanish runways. However, it wasn't until she finished her studies that her path crossed with John Pfeiffer, a prestigious casting director for renowned fashion shows.

International Breakthrough
John Pfeiffer expanded Alonso's horizons by including her in international fashion events. In June 2008, designer Diane von Furstenberg hired Alonso for her show in Florence, making her a participant in the 'Cruise 2008-09' collection. A month later, Alonso received an invitation to participate in the Spring-Summer 2009 fashion shows in New York. It was in this city that she had the opportunity to work with the globally recognized Spanish brand, 'Custo Barcelona'.

Victoria's Secret
At the age of 21, Clara Alonso was named the new Spanish top model selected to participate in the 'Victoria's Secret' show, which took place on November 15, 2008, in Miami. This was a truly groundbreaking event, as only two Spanish models had been involved in 'Victoria's Secret' shows throughout its history. Esther Cañadas was the first in 1997, followed by Eugenia Silva in 1998 and 1999.
Rising Popularity
As her popularity grew, Alonso walked the runways for brands such as 'Bottega Veneta', 'Luisa Beccaria', 'Brian Reyes', and 'Nanette Lepore'. She also worked with fashion houses such as 'Oscar de la Renta', 'Tory Burch', 'Cynthia Steffe', 'Luca Luca', 'Diane von Furstenberg', 'Lela Rose', 'Prabal Gurung', and 'Abaeté'. Alonso participated in the presentation of the 'Resort 2009 Diane von Furstenberg' collection.
Achievements and Campaigns
Clara Alonso won the award for 'Best Cibeles Model Fall-Winter 2010' from 'L'Oréal'. She became the face of the fragrance 'Agua Fresca de Rosas' by designer Adolfo Dominguez, which led to her appearance in a television commercial. Alonso also participated in the advertising campaign for 'GUESS' lingerie, shot by photographer Yu Tsai in Los Angeles. She was also featured in the 'A|X Armani Exchange' spring 2011 campaign, alongside her fellow Spaniard, Alejandra Alonso.
