Early Life and Acting Career

Cosmo Jarvis was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, to an Armenian-American mother and an English father. He moved to England with his parents as a child and later relocated to Totnes, Devon, with his mother and younger brother.

In 2015, Jarvis auditioned for and won the role of Sebastian in William Oldroyd's debut feature film, "Lady Macbeth" (2016). The film showcased his acting talent and propelled him into the spotlight.

Music Career

Jarvis began his music career in 2010. He confirmed the title of his second album, "Is the World Strange or Am I Strange?" on his Facebook page. The album's lead single, "Gay Pirates," was released in 2011 and received critical acclaim. It ranked 85th on Triple J's Hottest 100 that year.

Filmmaking Debut

In addition to acting and music, Jarvis also ventured into filmmaking. He wrote and directed his first feature film, "The Naughty Room," which premiered on BBC Four in 2012. Several songs from his third album, "Think Bigger," were featured on the film's soundtrack.
