Criss Angel Mindfreak

In the show "Criss Angel Mindfreak," Criss performed as the creator and performer of the main role. The filming of the first and second seasons consistently took place at the Aladdin Casino in Las Vegas. The third season was presented at the Luxor hotel. The first show was aired on July 20, 2005, where Criss showcased several original acts. He began by walking on water, then elevated himself above the Luxor hotel building and levitated in the air. After these mind-boggling performances, Criss made a brand new Lamborghini disappear, and even survived an explosion after cutting himself in half in front of the astonished audience. Every act concluded with a shower of applause. During the filming of the third season, Criss suffered an injury while performing a stunt where he had to jump out of a moving car. The show was put on hold for three weeks while the illusionist recovered.

Criss Angel Believe

Criss Angel's next show was "Criss Angel Believe," which was created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil. In this production, he not only performed as an illusionist but also worked as a writer, director of acts, and set designer for each performance. It is worth noting that Criss had originally intended to launch his new show on Broadway. However, his collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, Luxor's parent company, and MGM Mirage Resorts brought him a bonus in the form of $100 million in funding for the performances. After several postponements, the premiere was scheduled for October 31, 2008. However, the show received negative reviews and criticism from both critics and the audience after a preview in late September. Critics claimed that the show lacked magic. In April, "Criss Angel Believe" ceased to exist.

Phenomenon

Criss Angel also participated in a television show on CNN called "Phenomenon". However, in this show, he appeared as a judge rather than an illusionist.
