American Model and Writer
Crystal Renn is an American model and writer. She has achieved unique success in the fashion industry, becoming the only plus-size model to grace the cover of "Harper's Bazaar" and appearing in international editions of "Vogue" four times.

Early Career and Health Struggles
Renn began her career in the world of high fashion at the age of 14 when she caught the eye of a talent scout in her hometown in Mississippi. At the time, she was told that she needed to lose at least a third of her weight to pursue a career in the industry. This extreme weight loss eventually led to serious health problems, forcing Renn to reevaluate her diet and exercise regimen. Despite her efforts, she was unable to lose any more weight. It was at this point that her agent suggested she try promoting clothing for plus-size women. With a weight gain of 70 pounds, Renn became a successful model.

Modeling Success
Renn's unconventional and unique body shape made her a celebrity in the fashion world. She has collaborated with renowned plus-size clothing brands such as Lane Bryant, Evans, and Torrid. Renn has also walked the runway for notable designers including Vena Cava, Heatherette, Elena Miro, and Jean-Paul Gaultier in his Spring/Summer 2006 collection. She has been photographed by top fashion photographers like Ruven Afanador and Steven Meisel. Renn recently worked with Jean-Paul Gaultier again, showcasing outfits from his Fall/Winter collection. She also graced the runway at the Chanel Resort 2011 fashion show. Renn's recent collaborations include H&M, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom. She has been featured in editorials for American, Italian, French, German, and Teen Vogue, as well as Italian Elle, Russian Harper's Bazaar, Glamour, V, i-D, and Vanity Fair.

Writing Career
In 2007, Renn gained attention for her advertising campaign with Spanish brand "Mango," where she posed alongside slim models wearing regular-sized clothing. Her unique appearance was disregarded in the campaign, a rarity in the fashion industry. Renn co-authored the book "Hungry: A Young Model's Story of Appetite, Ambition and the Ultimate Embrace of Curves" with Marjorie Ingall in 2009. The memoir was published on September 8th of that year.
Personal Life and Current Work
On June 30, 2007, Renn married her partner Gregory Vrecenak in Manhattan, New York. The wedding was captured by fashion photographer Brian Boulos. Unfortunately, the marriage ended in divorce in the middle of 2009. Currently, Renn resides in Brooklyn, New York. In an interview with the Australian press, Renn's agent, Gary Dakin, stated that her overall income is nearly seven figures. Renn currently collaborates with New York Glamour, providing reports on the fall collections during New York Fashion Week.
