Biography of Dainius Zubrus
Dainius Zubrus, a professional ice hockey player, is known for his position as a forward in the team. In the team, he is fondly called "Zubi". He is one of the most experienced players in his team. Dainius Zubrus was born on July 16, 1978, in Lithuania. He is a professional ice hockey player playing for the sports club "New Jersey Devils". Zubrus was born in the city of Elektrėnai. Since the early 1990s, he has become one of the best Lithuanian hockey players. After starting a successful career, he decided to move to Canada, where he continued to play in the junior league. He played for the Ontario provincial team, participating in about 35 matches.

In 1996, Dainius Zubrus participated in the NHL draft. This selection greatly influenced his future career. The young hockey player caught the attention of the Philadelphia Flyers, and was chosen by this team in the first round. In 1997, he became a finalist for the Stanley Cup. Zubrus spent three seasons with the Philadelphia Flyers. In March 1999, he was transferred to the Montreal Canadiens. In 2004, the Lithuanian Dainius Zubrus joined the Russian national ice hockey team and participated in the 2004 World Cup. Zubrus played for this team until February 2007, after which he was traded to the Buffalo Sabres.

During the season, the hockey player scored 8 goals and made 11 assists. In 2006, Zubrus signed a one-year contract with the New Jersey Devils, which was extended until 2008.
