Biography of Dalia Kutkaite

Dalia Kutkaite, a Soviet athlete, represented artistic gymnastics in individual exercises. She was the absolute champion of Europe and a two-time European champion in specific events (1982). She held the title of Master of Sports of the USSR of international class.

Early Life and Career

Dalia Kutkaite was born in Vilnius, Lithuanian SSR, USSR, in 1965. At the age of 7 in 1973, she started practicing artistic gymnastics. Her coach was the honored coach of the Lithuanian SSR, Vaida Kubilene.

Current Life and Work

Currently, Dalia Kutkaite lives and works in Spain. She trains Spanish gymnasts.

Sporting Achievements

In 1982, she became the absolute champion of Europe and won two gold medals in individual events (clubs and ribbon), as well as a silver medal in the hoop exercise. In 1983, she won a bronze medal at the World Championships in the all-around category. The same year, she became the three-time absolute champion of the USSR and the winner of the Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR in the all-around category. Additionally, in 1983, she won the World Cup in the ribbon exercise. In 1984, she won a silver medal at the "Friendship-84" tournament.
