Damon Albarn is an English rock musician, best known as the frontman of the band Blur. He is also the creator, vocalist, instrumentalist, and main songwriter of the virtual band Gorillaz. In addition, he performs with the supergroups The Good, the Bad & the Queen and Rocket Juice & the Moon. Albarn was ranked 18th in the list of '100 Most Influential People in British Culture' by The Daily Telegraph in 2008.

Early Life and Musical Interests:
Damon Albarn, the eldest child of Keith Albarn and his wife Hazel, was born on March 23, 1968, in London. At the age of six months, Damon participated in 'test drives' of toys, including fiberglass furniture and play complexes produced by 'Keith Albarn & Partners Ltd', his father's company. Albarn grew up in a bohemian and liberal environment and inherited the teachings of Quakers from his parents. His parents, who were hippie enthusiasts, preferred to listen to blues, Indian reggae, and African music.
