Dani Clos: Spanish Racing Prodigy
Dani Clos, a skilled Spanish racing driver, rose through the ranks of karting and junior formulas to become a formidable force in the GP2 Series. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated exceptional talent and resilience.

Karting Successes
Clos's karting career took off in 2001, where he triumphed in the Catalan region of the Spanish ICA Junior Championship. He continued to shine by beating the brother of Formula 3 Euro Series rival Daniel Campos-Hull, Oliver. His success continued in 2002, winning the Copa Campeones Trophy and finishing tenth in the Italian Open Masters, alongside notable drivers like Nico Hülkenberg and Sebastian Buemi. Clos reached his pinnacle in karting in 2003, emerging victorious in the prestigious Andrea Margutti Trophy.

Formula Progression
In 2004, Clos transitioned to Formula racing, competing in Formula Junior 1600 in Spain. He made his mark in the Formula Junior 1600 Championship, finishing fourth with one victory and four podiums. After just one season in the 1600cc category, Clos moved on to Formula Renault championships. He raced in the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 with Pons Racing and the Italian Formula Renault Championship with Facondini Racing.

Formula Renault Breakthrough
In 2006, Clos joined Jenzer Motorsport for both the Eurocup and Italian Formula Renault. He excelled in the Eurocup, finishing seventh overall with three victories, including a double-win at Istanbul Park. In the Italian championship, he dominated the latter half of the season, winning eight of nine races and securing the title by 36 points.
Euroseries Formula 3
Clos's success led him to the Euroseries Formula 3 in 2007 with Signature-Plus. Despite inconsistent performances, he finished 13th with 13 points. He remained in the series in 2008 with Prema Powerteam but achieved slightly lower results, finishing 14th with 16.5 points.
GP2 Series and Formula 1 Aspirations
In 2009, Clos joined Racing Engineering for the GP2 Series season. He also had the opportunity to test for the Williams Formula 1 team, demonstrating his potential for the highest level of motorsport.
