DeAndre Yedlin: American Defender
Early Life and University CareerDeAndre Yedlin was born in Kirkland, Washington, with Latvian ancestry from his mother's side. Despite never meeting his father, Yedlin was raised by his grandparents. In 2011, he enrolled at the University of Akron and joined the Akron Zips football team.
Professional Club Career
Seattle Sounders (2013-2014)In 2013, Yedlin signed with the Seattle Sounders, becoming their first homegrown player. He made his debut against Montreal Impact and scored his first professional goal against UANL Tigres in the CONCACAF Champions League.
Tottenham Hotspur (2014-2015)
In 2014, Yedlin joined Tottenham Hotspur but remained on loan with Seattle Sounders. He made his Premier League debut for Tottenham against Aston Villa.
Sunderland (2015)
Yedlin was loaned to Sunderland for the 2015-16 season, where he debuted against West Ham United.
Newcastle United (2016-2021)
