Dennis Endras: German Ice Hockey Legend

Dennis Endras is a professional German ice hockey goaltender currently playing for Adler Mannheim in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) and the German national team.

Early Career

Endras began his ice hockey career with EHC Bayreuth. Until 2008, he played for teams in lower German leagues.

Augsburg Panther Years

In 2008, Endras joined Augsburger Panther in the DEL. He quickly established himself as a reliable goalkeeper for the team.

International Success

Endras made his international debut for Germany at the 2009 World Championships. He also represented his country at the 2010 Winter Olympics and several other World Championships. In 2010, he was named the Most Valuable Player of the World Championships after Germany surprisingly reached the semifinals. He became the first German hockey player to receive this honor at a World Championship.

North American Dream

In July 2010, Endras signed a preliminary contract with the Minnesota Wild of the NHL. However, he eventually ended up joining HIFK in the Finnish SM-Liiga due to personal reasons.

Return to Germany

In 2011, Endras returned to the DEL with Adler Mannheim, where he has been a vital part of the team ever since. He has helped Mannheim win multiple DEL championships and has continued to represent Germany internationally.
