Biography of Diego Fazio
Diego Fazio, also known as DiegoKoi, is an Italian hyperrealism artist who is already being hailed as the coolest artist in the world. His pencil drawings are so realistic that they are often mistaken for photographs. Born in Italy, Diego Fazio started his artistic career as a tattoo artist, creating sketches for future tattoos. However, he soon discovered his passion for drawing and decided to explore his talent beyond the realm of tattoos.

Self-Taught Artist
Diego has been drawing since childhood, but he did not receive any formal art education. He is completely self-taught. Initially, Diego never imagined that his work would become popular among the public. He created art purely for himself. However, those who had the opportunity to see his drawings couldn't help but share their amazement with their friends. Word soon spread, and Diego's artwork started gaining popularity among the public.
Unique Style
What sets Diego Fazio apart is his hyperrealistic style created solely with a pencil. He painstakingly achieves photographic precision in his drawings. Each portrait can take up to 200 hours to complete. The level of detail is mind-boggling, making it hard to believe that it was done using only a pencil. Fazio's artwork resembles photographs, and one has to examine them closely to be convinced otherwise.
Recognition and Awards
DiegoKoi, as he signs his paintings, has participated in several art festivals since 2010. In 2012, he won the Arte Laguna competition and later became a finalist in the Cairo di Milano contest. His talent and dedication to hyperrealism have garnered him accolades and recognition within the art community.
Current Life
Diego Fazio currently resides and works in the Italian commune of Feroleto Antico, located in the province of Catanzaro.
