Early Life and Club Career

Gibril Sidibé, a French footballer of Malian descent, was born in Troyes, France. He began his footballing journey with his hometown club, Troyes. He made his professional debut for the club in the 2009/10 season and helped them gain promotion to Ligue 2 the following season.

After establishing himself as a regular in Ligue 2, Sidibé moved to Lille in 2012. He made his Lille debut in the third round of the Ligue 1 season, scoring his first goal for the club against Nice. He also made his UEFA Champions League debut for Lille in September 2012 against BATE Borisov.

International Career

Sidibé represented France at the U-20 level from 2011 to 2012, making seven appearances for the team.

Monaco Success and Beyond

In 2016, Sidibé joined Monaco and quickly became a key player in their title-winning campaign in the 2016/17 season. He made 41 appearances for Monaco, scoring one goal before moving to Everton in 2019.
