Dmitry Nikolayevich Anuchin was born in Russia in 1843. He graduated from the University of Moscow in 1867 and immediately embarked on his academic career.

Career as an Anthropologist

In 1885, Anuchin established the first chair of anthropology at the University of Moscow. As a proponent of Darwinian theory, he developed a comprehensive approach to anthropology, encompassing human evolution, biology, and race. Contributions to Geography
