Early Life and Career
Born on May 15, 1867, in the Kaiyalovskaya station of the Trans-Baikal region, the Russian paramedic and future Hero of Labor began his medical journey by graduating from the Chita Military Paramedic School in 1884.
Service and Trial
In lieu of tuition fees, he served for six years at the Chita Military Psychiatric Hospital, followed by 12 years at the Oнон mines and two years as an educator at his alma mater. However, his involvement in the "Union of Military Servicemen" during the suppression of revolutionary movements in 1906 led to a trial and exile to the town of Kainsk in the Tomsk province. There, he spent three years working in a public hospital.
Civil War and Service to Partisans
During the Russian Civil War, he served as the head of pharmacy at the Chita City Hospital, where he played a crucial role in providing medicine to partisan detachments and arranging treatment for wounded partisans.
Recognition and Later Years
Having dedicated over 45 years to his profession, the paramedic was honored with the title "Hero of Labor," becoming one of the first recipients in Chita. In his later years, he resided in Ukraine and passed away in Kyiv on February 14, 1937.
Honors and Legacy
The paramedic's contributions were recognized with the prestigious title of "Hero of Labor" (awarded on October 30, 1929).
