Early Life and Education

Born in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk on October 14, 1963, Dmitry Persinpursued a variety of interests in his youth, including boxing, water polo, mountaineering, and music. At the tender age of 14, he began composing songs.

Military Service and Discovery

As a young man, Persin served in the border guards on the Kamchatka Peninsula, where an extraordinary incident occurred. His unit detected a Korean military aircraft crossing Soviet borders, earning them the opportunity to pursue higher education. While attending Krivoy Rog branch of the Kiev Institute of National Economy, Persin continued his passion for music, performing in various songwriting competitions.

Artistic Pursuits

In 1992, Persin joined the producer center of Igor Matvienko as a manager. Concurrently, he enrolled in the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS) to study music directing. Around this time, he formed the musical group "Chisla" and released his debut album, "PtitseLove," in 1999.

Acting Career

Embarking on his acting journey at the age of 37, Persin became known for his versatility on the screen. Not only did he star in numerous films, but he also composed music for them. His second album, "Where," was released in 2005.

Later Years and Legacy

Persin remained active in the film industry until his untimely passing in 2009. The year of his death marked the release of several films featuring his performances, including "Anna Karenina," "Ghost Days," and "Village Romance."
