Dominique Jones is an American professional basketball player who plays as a shooting guard. He was selected in the first round with the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies.
Early Life and College Career
Jones attended Lake Wales High School in Lake Wales, Florida and played for the University of South Florida Bulls. In the 2007/2008 season, he played 31 games, averaging 35 minutes on the court, 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 0.3 blocks, 2.3 turnovers, 2.8 assists, and 2.4 personal fouls per game.
In the 2008/2009 season, Jones played 31 games, averaging 37.5 minutes, 18.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 0.4 blocks, 2.6 turnovers, 3.9 assists, and 2.5 personal fouls per game.
In the 2009/2010 season, he played 33 games, averaging 37.1 minutes, 21.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 0.6 blocks, 2.9 turnovers, 3.6 assists, and 2.8 personal fouls per game.
During his time at the University of South Florida, Jones shot 70% from the free-throw line, 40% from the field, and 30% from three-point range.
NBA Career
After being drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies, Jones' rights were traded to the Dallas Mavericks as part of a series of deals.
