An Unprecedented Growth

By the age of one, Jambik weighed around 17 kg, and by two years old, his weight had reached 34 kg. Despite his enormous size, Jambik had a regular appetite and ate like any other child. His mother, Nelya Kabardarkova, sought medical advice, but the recommendations were always the same – more physical activity and less fatty and sweet food. However, Jambik remained active and never overate.

The Rise to Fame

As Jambik continued to grow, his weight surpassed all expectations. At the age of four, he weighed 64 kg, and by six years old, he reached 90 kg. By the time he was nine, Jambik's weight exceeded 150 kg. His constant weight gain meant that he frequently needed new clothes as the old ones became too small.

In 2008, Jambik was examined by British doctor Ian Campbell, a renowned specialist in obesity. The tests revealed that Jambik's skeletal development corresponded to that of a 15-year-old, even though he was only nine at the time. This led to Jambik being nicknamed Sosruko, after a heroic figure from Nart epic and a symbol of national defense.
