Early Career and Recognition at "Teplice"

Edin Džeko, a Bosnian footballer and striker, commenced his professional career in 2003 at the Bosnian club "Željezničar." During his stint there until 2005, he played as a midfielder.

In 2005, he joined "Teplice," a Czech club, where he remained for two years. He scored an impressive 16 goals in 43 matches, earning the distinction as the Gambrinus Liga's top scorer. This performance caught the attention of Felix Magath, the manager of German club "Wolfsburg."
