Edwin Moses is an American track and field athlete who specialized in the 400 meters hurdles. He was born on August 31, 1955, in Dayton, Ohio.

Olympic Success
Moses became an Olympic champion in 1976, setting a world record in the process. He continued his winning streak at the Olympic Games by winning another gold medal in 1984 and a bronze medal in 1988.
World Championships
In addition to his Olympic achievements, Moses was a dominant force at the World Championships. He won the gold medal in 1983 and 1987 in the 400 meters hurdles event. He also won a silver medal in 1983 as part of the 4x400 meters relay team.
