Lyonpo Yeshey Zimba is a prominent Bhutanese politician who served as the Prime Minister of Bhutan from 2000 to 2001 and again from August 20, 2004, to September 5, 2005.
Early Life and Education
Yeshey Zimba completed his secondary education at North Point School in Darjeeling, India. He then obtained a bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's College in Darjeeling. Subsequently, Zimba pursued a master's degree in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States.
Political Career
Zimba's political journey began with his appointment as the Minister of Trade and Industry. However, he resigned from this position in the summer of 2007 to contest the 2008 National Assembly elections. After the elections, he assumed the role of Minister for Works and Human Settlement.
Prime Ministership
