She rose to prominence with her role as Sandy Burns in the PBS series "The Righteous Apples" (1980-1982). Her notable film appearances include "Valley Girl" (1983), "Streets of Fire" (1984), "Pee-wee's Big Adventure" (1985), and "Loverboy" (1989). Elizabeth's most enduring role is as the voice of Tommy Pickles in the animated series "Rugrats" (1991-2004) and its spin-off "All Grown Up!" (2003-2008).
